For women who love to train 

1st Trimester Support Group

Early pregnancy can come with a whole spectrum of feelings. For some of you this will be long-awaited, others a bit more of a surprise. You might be feeling overjoyed and you might be feeling mixed bag of emotions. Perhaps you're feeling a little overwhelmed or  apprehensive. And the hardest bit about it, is you're probably not telling too many people about it all right now. Your outside world might look very similar to how it always does, but there's so much going on inside right now!

The 1st trimester can be a challenging time, especially for those of us that love to train and are used to being so physically capable and in charge of our bodies. Morning sickness, lethargy or simply just that lovely concoction of hormones can play havoc with our normal routines and it can feel a little lonely at times. 

4th Trimester Support Group

With an athletic background and a relatively fit pregnancy, the recent excitement of your new arrival can also be met with some challenging feelings in the 4th Trimester. The "6 week wait" to be checked and cleared to resume gentle exercise by your medical professional can feel excruciating, especially if you're A-type and goal-driven. Is there anything you can be doing in the meantime?

Or are you in complete overwhelm? You want to get back into your training again but it's hard to fathom how? Is there anyone else out there with similar feelings?

Our 1st and 4th Trimester support groups are there to help. 

  • Spend an hour with us in a confidential, safe space
  • Talk openly about anything you'd like to talk about, ask questions, share concerns
  • Hear other athletes stories and experiences
  • Get to know other athletic women who are at the same stage of pregnancy or postpartum as you
  • Hosted by Kat, physio and creator of Hatch Athletic
